
Thirty Day Friendship Cake
For this recipe
you will need a starter
Starter I make my starter with 1 -29 ounce can
peaches and 2 1/2 cups sugar. 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast put in
jar. Leave lid lose. Stir daily for 10 days Then follow
recipe.
Fruit
1st day-- Put 1 1/2 cup starter juice in a gallon
jug. Add 1- large can sliced peaches add 2 1/2 cups of sugar. stir each
day for 10 days.
10 th day - Add 2 1/2 cups sugar 1- large can of
crushed pineapple with the juice (stir each day)
20th day- Add 2 1/2 cups
sugar, and a 18 or 20 ounce jar of Mara. cherries cut in half, drain juice
from cherries before adding. (stir each day)
30th day- Make the
cake. Drain juice from fruit. You should have enough fruit to make 3 cakes.
Cut the fruit into small pieces. You should have enough juice to give 1
1/2 cups to 5 friends for their starter.
Cake
1 1/2 cups drained
fruit. 1 box yellow cake mix with pudding. 1 box vanilla instant pudding
2/3 cup of oil 4 eggs 1 cup raisins (optional) 1 cup chopped
nuts
Mix by hand, batter will be thick. Cook in bundt pan or loaf
pan. Lightly grease pan and dust with flour
Temperature 350 degrees
for 60 to 90 minutes.
This is enough for 1 cake, you will need to make
this amount 3 times to use all the fruit. The cakes can be wrapped and
frozen. Delicious
